If I were to get a phone now, should I get the white iphone 4G, or another phone, or wait for the iphone 5?

I'm going into high school this september and I still don't have a phone yet. I really want to get one this summer, and I for sure I want one with a touch screen, so no blackberries. & yes, there's the torch but I just personally don't like blackberries. I'm looking for an android phone, but a lot of them are pretty unknown here. So the only other touch screen phone there is, is the apple iphone4g. But, the iphone 5 is rumoured to come out this september. I guess I can wait, but what if it's not even coming then but later? September will be the latest I'll probably wait. Should I just get the white iphone4G since i can get it for just159$ more expensive the new MOTOROLA ATRIX™ 4G. But some androids like the Xperia Arc are even more expensive than the iphone4. Also, I don't even have a itouch so it'll be nice having an iphone. But also, doesn't the iphone4 have a lot of radiation, which is bad cause it causes cancer or something? Doesn't it have a few big problems like bad signal and stuff which would be fixed in the iphone 5? Should I just get an android, wait for the iphone5 or just get the iphone4? Help please?
